The ERS-7 released in 2003, marking the last model of the old generation of AIBO.

There were 3 revisions - 7M1, 7M2, and 7M3. Each revision introduced a new color: White, then Black, then Champagne/Honey Brown. Whether or not the Champagne color is considered limited is debated.

7M1s can only be white.
7M2s can only be black or white.
7M3s can be all three colors.

The ERS-7 is considered by many to be on-par with the new ERS-1000, remembering holidays, their own birthday, AIBO's anniversary, among other things. Their Illume-Face LEDs allow for the display of several new emotions, as well as acting as non-verbal communication between human and dog.

Contrary to popular belief, the "M" revision and "MIND" softwares are not the same.
